What This Calculator Does

This tool converts an hourly wage into a full salary breakdown — annual, monthly, biweekly, weekly, and daily. It's useful for comparing job offers, understanding the value of a raise, or calculating income for budgeting purposes.

How It Works

The formula is straightforward:

Annual = Hourly Rate × Hours/Week × Weeks/Year

For a standard full-time schedule (40 hrs/week, 52 weeks), that equals 2,080 hours per year. Adjust the hours and weeks fields to match your actual schedule.

Example Calculation

If you earn $25/hour and work 40 hours a week for 52 weeks:

  • Annual: $25 × 2,080 = $52,000
  • Monthly: $52,000 ÷ 12 = $4,333
  • Biweekly: $52,000 ÷ 26 = $2,000
  • Weekly: $25 × 40 = $1,000

Why This Matters

Hourly and salaried job offers are hard to compare directly. Converting to an annual equivalent puts them on the same footing — a $30/hr contract role vs. a $55,000 salaried position suddenly becomes easy to evaluate. This is also critical when negotiating a raise: knowing your hourly equivalent gives you a concrete number to discuss.
